Personal Injury Law in South Africa is a legal area that covers situations where an individual is injured, or passes away, due to the negligence or intentional act of another person or entity.
The law allows the injured party to seek compensation for damages such as medical expenses, lost wages and pain and suffering.
It is important to note that there is a time limit for filing a personal injury claim in South Africa and that is normally three years from date of injury or death. This time period should be confirmed with an Attorney as soon as possible after the incident.
Personal Injury Law includes Road Accident Fund matters and medical negligence against hospitals and/or medical personnel.
